I Do.

So this weekend we are going to my boyfriends, best friends wedding where he is the best man. The dreaded best man speech has been the main topic over the last two weeks, I do not envy him at all.

Currently, we are trying to save up for our own flat so I put outfit shopping to the back of my mind telling myself I would wear a dress that I already had.

Who am I kidding?! No girl wants to wear the same outfit again! Especially as I only wore the dress I had in mind in September. Thus came the obsessive online window shopping. Thus, equalling in my ASOS Saved Items filling with a wish list of what I actually to wear.

So, I came to a compromise. A value for money jumpsuit from Topshop. A key piece for my spring/summer wardrobe with it's culotte cut. A simple item that can be dressed up for the wedding and down for after. Meaning that I will sure wear after the wedding too. I have sent it to store, so let's just hope it fits and looks good - otherwise I will just have to trawl the Oxford Street store till I find something else! But the plan is that I will slip it on and it will fit perfectly, then I will skip to the accessories department to find a good ol' statement necklace to give the outfit that little extra dressy weddingness.

However, if I wasn't having to save money and wasn't being so strict with myself here are a couple of other pieces that would have worked their way into my basket.

Sunnies

Whilst my birthday present (see my last post) was being wrapped, I was oggling up the accessories in the glass cabinets at the till.

Having a deceivingly small head means finding sunglasses that suit me is a rare occasion. As usual I fell in love with a pair whilst in Vivienne Westwood. Thinking that I would look like a fly, Mother ushered me to try them on anyway. And of course the designer sunglasses fit like a glove.

£140 - Vivienne Westwood

I always knew I was born to be rich and drink champagne, but sometimes life just doesn't go that way. So, the plan is to save up my birthday money to put towards a pair. I have been looking at them online and also came across this pair below which I really like too. So I need to make a decision - if I could I'd buy the pair.

£126 - Vivienne Westwood

Although a lot more expensive than my current £12 Topshop ones, I seem to have the designer bug. I feel that I have got to the age where I want to invest in some forever pieces that are more unique and ever lasting. Although I will never loose my love for the high street likes of H&M, I am currently in my first job since leaving Uni and well I think it's time to treat myself.

Vivienne

Yesterday I ticked something off my bucket list. My birthday is in two weeks and Mum came to London to take me somewhere for my birthday present. Having not a clue what was going on, I headed down a side road just off of Regents Street with my Mother. As we walked past the likes of Maison Martin Margiela, Mum stopped and announced "here we are!". I looked up to see Vivienne Westwood shining in neon pink lights.

Overwhelmed by what was going on, Mum dragged me into the shop and casually just said "so get looking then".

Sorry... what??? Is probably the best way to describe the look on my face. So unexpected I wanted to die. I was literally in heaven. The clothes, the fabrics, the shop, the pictures of Viv.... Ahhhhhhh. After trying on items of clothing I only dream of wearing, I made my choice. The piece is currently sitting in it's sealed pale pink bag staring at me. It's gonna be a long two weeks I tell ya.

I feel truly spoilt by my amazing crazy parents. First a Vivienne purse and now this! I finally have my first designer item of clothing which I will treasure for the rest of my life. I can not wait to blog my first wear of this piece.

My graduation present from the rents from earlier this year.

Nicole X Missguided

Okay, so everyone is probably going on about this collection, BUT I have fallen for all the mesh and fishnet! I was a bit blasé about the whole collaboration when I first heard, but with its Kardashian feel, it has formed hearts in my eyes. As well as being understated cool items to easily add in to any wardrobe, they are affordable too. We praise you Missguided!

Here are the four main pieces that are wanting to be in my wardrobe.

Mesh Racer Crop Top £15
Faux Leather Biker Leggings in White £35
Shift Dress With Fishnet Panel in White £35
Long Sleeve Fishnet Crop Top £20

White. Black. And A Dash Of Red.

Dress £29.99 / Bag £39.99 / Necklace £29.99 / Shoes £59.99

I am a complete Zara worshipper. I'm writing this whilst day dreaming about wearing these new arrivals I came across on their website. And how about these shoes below!? I will admit I am a lover of the Stella McCartney originals with the cleated soles, but still. <3

Here We Go Again

All I keep dreaming and blogging of is my need for a co-ord in my life. And I have seen SO many amazing ones at that. But funds and indecisiveness has left my closet still yearning for a matching outfit. I saw this top in H&M a while a go, and got excited expecting it to be some form or co-ord or another but nuh huh, there were no bottoms too be found.
Woven Top £24.99 - H&M

This of course leaving me broken hearted. However, I think I have found a replacement love and of the striped kind. This replacement being from my other fave shop Zara.
Striped Top with Frilly Cuff £25.99 - Zara

Striped Tube Skirt £25.99 - Zara
How Amaze is this for a co-ord. I know it is really simple, but I love the stripes. Plus for SS14 it is a perfect match for the monochromatic trend! The detail of the frilly cuffs on the top adds a great Sixties feel. I can totes see me, my black heeled Zara sandals and a fedora hat with this outfit.

High Shine Heaven

Scrolling through my Instagram feed and now I am stuck in a shoe situation! A bit out of the norm for me in terms of choice, but how amaze are these metallic platforms from ASOS! The problem is I only just treated myself to a couple of sale items from Topshop and H&M. (I deserved a reward for my hard labour and stress due to my last uni project!)

However, my dissertation is due in next Friday?

Tapestry Crossbody Bag £25 - Topshop

Embossed Croc Leather Duffle Bag £60 - Topshop

Kylie Kaleidoscope Print Peg Trousers £18 & Top £15 - BooHoo

I have been wanting to add a co-ordinate to my drobe for yonks now. There are so many that I like but my sensibility is staying strong and with holding the funds. Im constantly procrastinating on every clothing website possible, this lust list could be a whole lot longer believe me. The black crocodile duffle bag I saw before Christmas and it is still available to tempt my eyes! As for the platform shoes I want a Stella McCartney original pair so bad, but maybe these will do?!

Somewhere Nowhere

One of the things I love about following blogs (big up to Bloglovin) is finding out about new online shops. I started to compile a list of these for when I am procrastinating and have already scrolled through the whole contents of the likes of good old Topshop and Zara. One o the most recent I have added to the list I was introduced to via my fellow FMP studier Helly from Bells Fashion (deffo check out her blog).

Somewhere Nowhere offers handmade and custom designs by recent London College of Fashion Graduates Rex Lo and Elly Cheng. Their unique and outlandish clothing and accessories may not be my normal go to clothing choice, but there are a few pieces I am definitely wishing into my wardrobe. The fact that the clothing comes as unisex adds another distinctive element to their clothing. I just wish some of the pieces I wanted weren't sold out!

Wish List

Being a student may have its slightest benefits, however pockets full of money isn't one of them. I feel deprived from my love of new clothes. Although it pains me to look at these items on screen rather than them being in my wardrobe. I decided to make up a new wish list on here, whilst pretending I am actually putting them in my shopping basket.

I Wish.

Multicoloured Mongolian Fur Tote Bag, River Island £150

Sweet Platform Cleated Loafers, Topshop £80

Both abit different to my usual wish list items, but for some reason I love them both. The bag comes with my new all things furry and fluffy obsession, the heels I saw on a blogger somewhere or other and they looked pretty swish.

I am also still currently on the hunt for this River Island, patchwork and fur collared jacket which I saw on the Grazia Instagram feed in around June. Knowing that it was an AW13 item, I waited till September to start my hunt, looking at the new in section of riverisland.com most days. Over a month on I'm sill persevering. I will find that jacket, and it will be mine!

Mooching through my Bloglovin feed and instantly fell in deep love with this The Ragged Priest tartan bomber jacket! Oh my, even with a £160 price tag I am more than tempted. Can I treat myself?
On the subject of tartan, this very 80s, 90s and all things scottish trend is back with a vengeance this season, influenced by the likes of Saint Laurent, Celine, Stella McCartney and Moschino. And I must say I'm a fan, but it is definitely a trend you have to get right. Here are some examples I've found where I think it works just right.

Zara tartan skirt worn by Angelica Blick. See her blog here.

Next skirt worn by Ngoni Chicwenengere. See her blog here.

Dress, by Primark.

Coat, £129 by Zara.

Dress, £17.99 by Glamorous.

I am debating my purchases, but until then I brought this scarf today to keep in touch with AW13's scottish ways.

Scarf, £6.99 by H&M.
